Off To Sligo
Submitted by brass on Fri, 29/09/2006 - 11:37.Wow and now I'm off to Sligo. Confess looms like an overweight in a shopping line. Silent Hill : Death is finished and ready. And I am scrounging Infernal Minions for a deck.
Will report and post pictures when I get back.
Yours,
Damien

Oh, will we be
That disappointed
Or sad

What will we have missed

Google Ads Added to Irish Gamers dot com
Submitted by admin on Thu, 07/09/2006 - 18:56.Well,
I've added google ads to the site. The idea being something along the lines of my post on the irishgaming forums:
http://irishgaming.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=969#969
"I'd be more into something like this:
Put ads on IrishGamers.com
Get ad Revenue
Buy ads in Convention Booklets
Get more customers
Get more ad Revenue
Buy ads in Convention Booklets
Hopefully contribute money to conventions from ad revenue
repeat..."

Submitted by brass on Tue, 22/08/2006 - 20:32.Right,
I've ordered the most pretty RPG setting I have ever seen. It was written by Monte Cook (an industry figure, known for work on the DMG and some Planescape products as well as his own stuff)and is over 670 pages long. The weighty tome set me back about a 100 euros, so I can only hope it is worth it.
The setting is a fantasy city where it is pretty normal for people to levitate down the street and your plumber is a minotaur. There is some steam powered machines and guns, but tech is in decline. I'll get back to you all with a review on the main site when I have the book in my greasy mitts.
The Hinterweb
Submitted by brass on Fri, 11/08/2006 - 11:55.Well it has happened, the house now has broadband. Which means more mindless surfing and finding weird stuff and hopefully more updates on here.
For now I shall leave you all with what I think is the gateway to hell,
Scary!

Star Wars Mentality, Joe is a Beast Killer!
Submitted by Smiler on Fri, 11/08/2006 - 09:20.Well the game kicked off and we gave a general indication to the GM of what we would have accomplished in the four preceeding years of being stuck on the moon of this gas giant planet. In that time, we discovered that one of the two other moons was inhabited by people. We visited them and became the Gods (Good Gods as the Sarge decided for us) of the city folk but we never bothered with having a look at the nomad people.
My impression of the four characters would be:
Joe (Smiler -> Me):
A brutish man with serious upper body strength, Joe has set up his own "garden" just beside the (temporary) imperial base of operations (settlement). This is not your typical garden though because it is where he discards the carcasses of the dead animals he has caught in his forest traps.

The games go on
Submitted by brass on Tue, 11/07/2006 - 12:47.Well,
Things have been going quite well in the realm of RPGs recently. My current list of projects is
* Silent Hill 3 : Death
The last of the Silent Hill scenarios for Confess coming in September.
Here is the blurb for those interested.
“This is all I can stand, I have to do something about it! I know they are still alive or something like it. I can’t live knowing what has happened, she was my wife. That thing “William”… I don’t know, but I have to go I can still hear her in Silent Hill.”
Fiat iustitia, ruat coelum.
* Superiors : Marc
SJ Games put out a open call for writers on the next In Nomine Project. I'm going to submit some stuff. So I'll get back to everyone on that one.

Back in a Game! StarWars RPG. Troopers.
Submitted by Smiler on Sat, 24/06/2006 - 11:24.Well, I'm back in a campaign. It'll just be for the Summer but (as yer man in the Amstel Troy ad says:) this is gonna be great.
The background of the game that I know so far is that all the group are troopers stationed out in a remote outpost on the fringe of the galaxy. We work away and do our duties all the while we stargaze thinking of our career prospects, how we ended up on this assignment, how we'd rather be on Alderaan with all the fancy (but expensive) chicks there, why the empire never really sends us any orders other than our original ones to patrol the area... you get the idea.
